Allen Press, Inc., headquartered in Lawrence, Kansas, provides online and print delivery, association management, content management,and publishing services. The company was founded in 1935, by Harold Allen. In the early days, Allen Press printed stationary, envelopes, business cards, small newsletters and other commercial job work. Their first attempt at printing scientific journals came in 1952 with their first issue of the Wilson Bulletin, an ornithology journal. Today, more than 400 journals and magazines and trade journals are printed at the company’s plant at 810 East 10th Street.

Today the company is led by Rand Allen, son of the founder. In 2005 Gerald Lillian joined the company as CEO.
