Alone Together was the debut solo album by former Traffic member Dave Mason. Performing with Mason was a roster of guest musicians, including Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett, Leon Russell, Jim Capaldi, Rita Coolidge,Carl Radle and Jim Gordon.
The song, "Only You Know and I Know", which received a good deal of top-40 airplay, was the album's major commercial success. Other standout tracks are "Shouldn't Have Took More Than You Gave", "Sad and Deep as You", "World in Changes", and "Look at You, Look at Me". dELANEY AND BONNIE HAD A TOP 40 HIT WITH "oNLY yOU AND i kNOW."
The LP record itself was not the traditional black vinyl, but a swirled mix of pink, brown and beige which attracted considerable attention. THIS ALBUM WAS EVENTUALY RELEASED ON BLACK VINYL WHEN IT WAS RERELASED ON MCA.
