Alvis Sporting Club Football Club are a football club based in Coventry, West Midlands, England. They were established in 1928, and currently play in the Midland League Division Two. Their reserve team play in the Coventry Alliance League and for the 2014–15 season they entered a youth team into the Midland Youth Floodlight League for the first time. Many improvements have been made in recent times to their ground including installing floodlights. However for the upcoming season[when?] the youth team will play home games at Coventry University and the senior team will ground share with Southam United. As of the 2015–16 season they will play home games at Green Lane again. They are nicknamed the "tankman" and ex players include ex Coventry City player Patrick Suffo.

Youth set-up

The club has one of the biggest junior sections in Coventry with 19 teams as of the 2013–14 season entered in the Coventry minor league. These teams are based alongside the first team at Alvis Sports and Social club or at Finham Park Secondary School which is on the other side of Green Lane.
