Amadou Ali (born 1943) is a Cameroonian politician. Born in Kolofata, he was Minister of Justice since 2001 and has been a Deputy Prime Minister since 2004.

From 1974 to 1982 he served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Service. From August 24, 1985 to 1997 he served three terms as Secretary of State for Defense.

Ali's home in Kolofata was attacked by members of Boko Haram, a violent Islamist group based in northern Nigeria, in late July 2014, and his wife Francoise Agnes Moukouri was abducted.[1] However, she was believed to be released on October 11, 2014.[2]
