The band Amen is a rock band from Lima, Peru.[1][2][3] In 2001 Amen started earning local fame through their song "Decir Adios" (Say Goodbye). Until now the band participates in numerous big national performances in the whole country.[4][5][6] Amen and its vocalist Marcello Motta won several contests and the Peruvian Association of Authors and Composers (APDAYC) music award.

Biography
In the year 1995 Marcello Motta, Steve Suárez y Renán Díaz have their first gig as a band in a festival organized in the district "Ventanilla", place where they live.
In 1997 AMEN takes part in two contests of new bands of rock. The first one organized by the Peruvian label "Discos Hispanos", the award is the recording it is the recording of a CD and an artistic contract for 10 years. The second contest is organized by Channel 9, the award is the recording of a video. AMEN wins these two contests and initiates the big dream of having a video, his first CD and being represented by a label.
At the end of 97 Amen records his first disc titled "Free" (Libre) that contains 12 songs. Henry Ueunten takes part in the recording of the keyboards and from this moment he begins to integrate Amen.
In December 2004 the band releases the second disc named AMEN, this cd contains 12 songs that are composed (letter and music) again by Marcello Motta (apart from the song "Miracles" composed by Freddy Velarde Marcello's uncle).
In December 2008 AMEN releases his third disc "Times of Resurrection" that contains 13 topics and two bonus tracks. Of this cd there has already been listened the first single "La chata" that reached the first place in the different radios at national level. As second promotional single it was chosen the song "Violar las leyes" (To violate the laws). AMEN made a video directed by Percy Céspedez [1], the recognized Peruvian winning director of many awards.
