Amydon[pronunciation?] (Template:Lang-el; gen: Ἀμυδῶνος) was the Homeric capital of the Paeonians in the lower Axios region of Amphaxitis. The exact location seems to have been unknown in historical times. According to Strabo, Amydon was later called Abydon but it was destroyed.
