Dr. W. Andreas Jacobs (born December 1963) is a Bremen-born entrepreneur who lives in Germany and is a German national.

Biography

Jacobs has been an independent entrepreneur since 1992 with a stake in several European and North American companies. He is currently principal shareholder of Minibar AG and Acentic GmbH, and a minority investor in several other companies. Since 2001, Jacobs has taken over several executive functions of the Jacobs Family business. He serves as Executive Chairman of Jacobs Holding AG, Executive Chairman of Barry Callebaut AG, and as Vice-Chairman of Adecco SA.

Before embarking on his entrepreneurial activities, Jacobs worked as a consultant and project manager at The Boston Consulting Group in Munich from 1991 to 1993.

Jacobs studied law at the University of Freiburg, University of Munich and Montpellier, and subsequently obtained a post-graduate degree in European competition law (Dr. iur.) from the University of Freiburg. He was later awarded a Master of Business Administration degree by INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
