Antonio José Silva Puesán, (Born March 19, 1974) known professionally as Antonio Puesán, is a baseball analyst, writer, TV & Radio personality based in Miami, Florida. He is a native of the Dominican Republic. He is a specialized baseball analyst for "El Locker Room 1050"[1] on ESPN NY 1050AM Radio. He also works as a digital creative strategist in marketing focused on sports brands and events in social media.

In his early career, he was a Creative and art Director. He is a former Kansas City Royals minor league pitcher, playing from 1993 to 1995.

Early life

After born in Caracas, Venezuela almost three years later Antonio Puesán was raised in Dominican Republic by his grandparents in February 1977, became a Dominican citizen in March 1993, he started to play baseball a little bit later at 10 due a heart condition caused by rheumatic Fever finished high school level at 17 and started studying advertising at Universidad Catolica Santo Domingo in 1992. He went to The Parson School of Design at affiliate in Altos de Chavon in 1997 at La Romana, Dominican Republic.

Baseball career

Signed as an amateur free agent by the Kansas City Royals as a pitcher in May 1993 by scouts Diómedes Castellanos and regional scout Luis Silverio. He played in the Dominican Summer League (Rookie level) in Salcedo a north region of the Dominican country. After dealing with many injuries, was granted with an unconditional release in 1995.

Television journalism

He started his broadcasting career at age 17 as a commentator at "Campeonato Latinoamericano de Pequeñas Ligas", a Williamsport Little League World Series Caribbean qualifier with José Antonio Mena. Started in 2005 as a sports analyst in Antesala Capitaleña with Alberto Rodríguez in Telecentro Canal 13. Later in 2010 he joined the "Out 37 TV" crew at CDN canal 37 a nationwide Dominican TV station. Also joined Tigres del Licey International broadcast as a commentator with Radhamés González. Participated in several TV sports shows as a baseball analyst for the winter league baseball draft in 2014.

Was the commentator at Dominican Summer League All Star Game with Hansel Coste in 2014.

Radio journalism

Puesan's first opportunity in radio was in 2006, working on an interactive sports talk show. In 2011 he joined the "Out 37" Radio in 92.5 Fm at CDN La Radio on weekdays. Joined ESPN Deportes Radio República Dominicana 104.5 FM as a sports analyst at Desayuno Deportivo an early sports talk show with Melvin Bejarán, Orlando Méndez and José Luis Mendoza. Decides to produce his own project creating "Sobre el Diamante Radio" with Carmen Sarah Mota at UniK Radio a digital online radio station in 2012, it only lasted 6 months due a non-sponsor support. He is a current member of Ligas Menores en Acción a specialized radio show for Minor leagues with Yohanna Nuñez and Alexander Gómez every Saturday on Licey TV. Became a baseball analyst for El Locker Room 1050 AM con Rafael Bello on ESPN Deportes Radio 1050 AM New York in 2015

Online career

Puesan is currently a Social Media Coordinator for Toros del Este, a professional winter league baseball team in Dominican Republic.
