Founded in 2019 by Nirmit Parikh, Apna.co emerged against India's expanding job market dynamics. Parikh started a platform intended to facilitate job searches and contribute to professional connections and skill development. Within 21 months of its launch, Apna.co attained unicorn status, marking an important milestone in its growth trajectory.[1][2]

As of November 2023, Apna has secured a total of $193.5 million in funding across five rounds. Key investors of Apna include Tiger Global Management, Insight Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners India, and Peak XV Partners (formally known as Sequoia Capital India).[3][4] Apna's rapid growth and approach have gained attention, getting recognition as one of India's fastest-growing startup unicorns.[5][6]
