Arimatsu (有松町, Arimatsu-chō) was a town in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It houses the Arimatsu Station of the Meitetsu-Nagoya Line, about 11 km southeast of downtown Nagoya. The town merged into Nagoya on 1 December 1964 and is now a part of Midori-ku, Nagoya.[1]

The Battle of Okehazama in 1560 located in the area of this town. Oda Nobunaga defeated Imagawa Yoshimoto and established himself as one of the front-running warlords in the Sengoku period.

It is a historical center of shibori or tie-dyeing workmanship, since the seventeenth century, dating back to 1608.
