Arrondissements of the Deux-Sèvres department

The 3 arrondissements of the Deux-Sèvres department are:

  1. Arrondissement of Bressuire, (subprefecture: Bressuire) with 61 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 93,153 in 1990, and was 91,673 in 1999, a decrease of 1.59%.
  2. Arrondissement of Niort, (prefecture of the Deux-Sèvres department: Niort) with 165 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 188,614 in 1990, and was 190,708 in 1999, an increase of 1.11%.
  3. Arrondissement of Parthenay, (subprefecture: Parthenay) with 77 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 64,198 in 1990, and was 62,011 in 1999, a decrease of 3.41%.
