The 4 arrondissements of the Maine-et-Loire department are:

  1. Arrondissement of Angers, (prefecture of the Maine-et-Loire department: Angers) with 69 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 397,209 in 2013.
  2. Arrondissement of Cholet, (subprefecture: Cholet) with 32 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 203,287 in 2013.
  3. Arrondissement of Saumur, (subprefecture: Saumur) with 54 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 137,006 in 2013.
  4. Arrondissement of Segré, (subprefecture: Segré) with 28 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 62,689 in 2013.
