The 4 arrondissements of the Nièvre department are:

  1. Arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville), (subprefecture: Château-Chinon (Ville)) with 72 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 26,045 in 2013.
  2. Arrondissement of Clamecy, (subprefecture: Clamecy) with 91 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 25,249 in 2013.
  3. Arrondissement of Nevers, (prefecture of the Nièvre department: Nevers) with 83 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 118,974 in 2013.
  4. Arrondissement of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire, (subprefecture: Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire) with 64 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 44,953 in 2013.
