Ashley Spencer (born June 8, 1993) is an American sprinter who specializes in the 400 meter dash. Her uncle is Steve Smith, the 1995 Pan-Am Games Silver Medalist in the high jump.

College career

Spencer ran for the Illinois Fighting Illini where she won 2 NCAA titles. She is scheduled to transfer and run for the Texas Longhorns.[1]

International career

At the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics Spencer won gold medals in both the 400 meter dash and the 4x400 meter relay.[2]

At the 2013 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Spencer finished in 3rd place.[3] This finish assured her a spot as a team member of the 4x400 meter relay as well as the opportunity to race individually in the 400 meter dash at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics.[4]
