Asia Pacific International School (APIS, Korean: 아시아퍼시픽국제외국인학교) is an international school in Nowon-gu, Seoul, the capital of South Korea.[1] It provides an American-based education system from kindergarten to grade 12 for all nationalities. The school was founded in 2007.

Curriculum

The curriculum is that of U.S. schools. Instructions are done in English, however there are foreign language classes offered in Korean, Japanese and Chinese. The school has a Christian instruction and so the school has a worship program which every student must attend. Advanced Placement courses are offered in many subjects for high school students. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Faculty

Currently, there are over 50 faculty members (excluding principals) working as teachers in the school. All of the faculty members are fully qualified. The vast majority of the faculty have received a bachelors degree from their university, and some have received a masters degree from their university.

Enrollment

There are currently about 350 students enrolled at Asia Pacific International school. It has been continuously increasing since its establishment in 2007.

Facilities

The campus is located in Northeastern Seoul in the Nowon-gu neighborhood. APIS classrooms and administrative offices are located in the main building, which has over 60 classrooms and offices. The campus includes a main auditorium, children's playground, athletic field, gymnasium, music practice rooms, and a football (soccer) field, Fitness center. Every class is equipped with smart boards and state-of-the-art technology such as iPads.
