The former Florence Railroad Station as seen from the platforms and former railroad sidings in Florence, South Carolina (awning does not appear to be original). It was once a grand Atlantic Coast Line Railroad station and then an Amtrak Station until 1996 when that operation was moved into a smaller station next door. The building is now part of the McLeod Regional Medical Center, although Amtrak still uses the old platforms. 2011

The Florence, South Carolina Atlantic Coast Line Depot is a former Atlantic Coast Line Depot in Florence, South Carolina. This historic building was also used as the Florence Amtrak Station and is now part of McLeod Regional Medical Center. J.F. Leitner, who was the official architect for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company from 1909 through 1912, is credited with the architectural design. His work also includes Goldsboro Union Station (also part of the ACL line), Plant City Union Depot in Plant City and Tampa Union Station in Tampa, Florida.
