"Autostop" is a 1979 Italian-language song performed by Patty Pravo, written by her husband Paul Jeffery, Maurizio Monti and Pravo herself under her birth name Nicoletta Strambelli.[1] It was released as the only single from Pravo's LP Munich Album in 1979, with an English-language song "New York" as the B-side. The single was a success for the singer and reached #13 on the Italian charts. The song has featured on the concert album Patty Live 99 and on the compilation Super Best (2012). It is included as a bonus track in the reissue of the album Mai una signora (1974) in the Gli album originali box set which otherwise does not include the Munich Album.
