Avantika Mishra is an Indian film actress and former model. In 2014, she signed onto 3 Telugu film projects, followed by the film Maaya. She was most recently in the film Kerintha (2015), portraying an NRI girl who comes to India to study. She plays the lead in Meeku Meere Maaku Meeme alongside Tarun Shetty; the film is set to release on February 14, 2016.

Early life and background

Avantika Mishra was born on May 30, 1992, in Delhi, India, to Air Force Personnel M K Mishra and Savita Mishra[citation needed]. She has a younger brother named Agnivesh. She studied in the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute and K V Hebbal, Bangalore, and then pursued a degree in chemical engineering from the BMS College of Engineering in Bangalore. Later, she travelled a lot for modeling assignments, which gave her the confidence to enter the film industry. After being in modeling for six months, she got a chance to meet director Neelakanta and it took just 10 minutes to finalize her for the role.[1]

Career

Avantika began her career as a model for Puma, Femina, and a variety of Kerala/Chennai brands. Her first acting role was in Neelakanta’s Maaya (2014). In 2015, Avantika was featured in the film Kerintha, produced by Dil Raju. She played an NRI girl who comes to India to study. She plays the lead in Meeku Meere Maaku Meeme alongside Tarun Shetty; the film is set to release on February 14, 2016.
