Ayesha Alexander Curry (née Alexander; born 23 March 1989) is a Canadian-American celebrity cook, cookbook author, television personality, business woman, model and actress. Her cooking career started in 2014 when she began to present cooking demonstrations on her Youtube channel Little Lights of Mine. In 2016 she collaborated with chef Michael Mina on the Bay Area pop-up restaurant International Smoke at The Mina Test Kitchen.[1] In the second half of 2016 she released her cookbook The Seasoned Life and debuted her cooking show Ayesha's Homemade.[2][3]
Career
Prior to her marriage to Stephen Curry, Curry was an actress, known for Underground Street Flippers (2009), Dan's Detour of Life (2008) and Love for Sale (2008) and other guest roles in several television shows. More recently, she has become a presenter of cooking and lifestyle tips, first on her own Youtube channel and later on her Food Network show Ayesha's Homemade. Her company Little Lights of Mine sells its own brand of extra virgin olive oil with 10% of all proceeds going to help No Kid Hungry.[citation needed] In addition to her written recipes, Curry often posts instructional cooking videos on her YouTube channel.
According to Variety, Ayesha’s Homemade will focus not just on Curry’s recipes, but her life as a wife and mother, with plenty of cameos from her husband and two daughters.[citation needed]
Personal life
On July 30, 2011, Ayesha Alexander married NBA player Stephen Curry in Charlotte. The two had met in a church youth group when they were 15 and 14.[4][5][6] Together, they have two daughters, Riley (b. 2012) and Ryan (b. 2015).[7][8] They currently reside in Bay Area, California.[9]
