A Bacchanalian fraternity is a fraternal society of professionals and amateurs of wine and other alcoholic beverages, promoting the wines of represented region, notably from France and Germany, some of the societies dating to the early modern era.[1][2][3]

Other modern ones have various affiliations, such as in the form of student societies.[4]
