"Backbone" is a song recorded by American rock band Daughtry for their fifth studio album Cage to Rattle.
Background
Upon the song's release, frontman Chris Daughtry posted on Instagram: "This is just a little something to get everyone ready for the record. It's been so long since we gave you new music that it only felt right to drop something fresh. We've put a lot into this music, and we can't wait to share what's to come."[1] It was written by Chris Daughtry, Marti Frederiksen, and Scott Stevens.[2]
