Balázs Orbán (1829–1890) was a Hungarian writer, historian and politician.

He was born in Lengyelfalva, Grand Principality of Transylvania (today Polonița, Romania) and died in Budapest. His most important work is "Székelyföld leírása", an encyclopedic description of the Szekely Land, first published in 1868 in Budapest, Hungary.
