Dr. Banira Giri (born April 11, 1946) is litterateur, poet of Nepal who has published many works such as Karagar, Mero Aviskar – poetry collection, Sabdatit Shantanu etc.[1][2][3][4]

She was the "first woman to be awarded a Ph.D. by Tribhuvan University for her thesis on the poetry of Gopalprasad Rimal."[5]
