The Battle of Rahon was fought between Sikhs and Mughal Empire on 11 October 1710.

Background and battle

Banda Singh Bahadur captured almost entire Punjab East of Lahore. He became the master of the Eastern Punjab from river Indus to Satluj. In 1710, Bahadur advanced to Jalandhar, where on his way, he was attacked by local ruler, Shams Khan. Bahadur immediately captured his fort when Khan went to Sultanpur. After the victory, the Sikhs advanced to capture Jalandhar.[2][3]
