Bchaaleh
Appearance
Bchaaleh is a village in Lebanon located at an altitude of 1250 m. It is 70 km from Beirut, 30 km from Jbeil and 40 km from Tripoli. Bchaaleh is a part of Batroun District and is known for its old olive trees, some dating back to 4000 B.C., which are still fruitful today.
Origin of the name
The name Bchaaleh is derived from the Semitic language, meaning "the high distinguished place."
Demographics
Bchaaleh is a Christian Maronite village of approximately 1500 residents.
