Benito Raman (born 7 November 1994) is a Belgian footballer who currently plays as a striker for Belgian Pro League club Standard Liège.

Career

Cercle Melle

At the age of 4 he started playing football at Cercle Melle. He would stay there for only 6 months.

SK Munkzwalm

In 2001, at a local tournament organised by KFC Semmerzake, Raman was named the best player of the tournament. This caught the attention from K.A.A. Gent.

K.A.A. Gent

After 8 years playing in the youth teams, Raman made his debut against S.V. Zulte Waregem, replacing Tim Smolders in the 91st minute. Despite reported interest from Inter Milan, Aston Villa and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Raman chose to stay in Ghent.[1]
