Bernice Herstein (September 6, 1918 – November 8, 1950) was an American socialite, known as the wife of investor Seymour Durst and mother of their two children Robert Durst and Douglas Durst.[1]

Personal life

Bernice Herstein was born into a Jewish family from Germany in Scarsdale, Westchester County, United States.

Bernice Herstein married Seymour Durst in 1940.

The death of Mrs. Bernice Durst, thirty-two, who fell from a roof of her house at 27 Hampton Road Wednesday was ruled an accident today by Assistant Medical Examiner

Robert Durst did not witness the suicide according to his brother Douglas Durst[2]

She rests at the Jewish cemetery Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hawthorne, Westchester County.[1]
