"Best Friend" is a song by American rapper Young Thug. It was released on November 20, 2015 as a single from his mixtape, Slime Season The song was produced by Ricky Racks and Yung Shad. The song was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) July 1, 2016, for selling over 1,000,000 digital copies in the United States.
Music video
The song's accompanying music video premiered on September 14, 2015 on Young Thug's YouTube account. It was directed by Be El Be & Young Thug himself. Since its release, the video has received over 125 million views on YouTube.[1]
Commercial performance
"Best Friend" debuted at number 98 on Billboard Hot 100 for the chart dated December 12, 2015.[2] The song peaked at number 45 on the chart, making it Young Thug's most successful single as a lead artist to date.
