Biochimie is a peer-reviewed scientific journal in the field of biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology. The journal is published monthly by Elsevier jointly with the Société Française de Biochimie et Biologie Moléculaire.[1][2][3] All articles are currently in English;[4] articles in French were also previously published. As of May 2015, the Editor-in-Chief is Richard Buckingham (Paris, France).[5]

Content since 1971 is available online via ScienceDirect as PDFs; access is by subscription only.

History

The journal was published from 1914 under the title Bulletin de la Société de Chimie Biologique (ISSN 0037-9042); the title changed to Biochimie in 1971.[3][6]

Indexing

Biochimie is indexed in BIOSIS, PASCAL, Chemical Abstracts, Current Contents/Life Sciences, EMBASE, EMBiology, BIOBASE, MEDLINE and Scopus.[7] The journal's 2011 impact factor was 3.022.[1]
