Crowds at Bite of Seattle

The Bite of Seattle is an annual food festival that takes place in Seattle, Washington at the Seattle Center. Known locally as "The Bite", this festival is held on one weekend during the month of July.

Founded by Alan Silverman, the president of Festivals, Inc., the first festival was held in 1982 at Green Lake, with 25 restaurants participating and 75,000 in attendance. In 2003, there were 60 restaurants participating with over 450,000 visitors.

Attractions

The Bite offers many attractions for food lovers and foodies including food sampling from local restaurants, food cook-off competitions, eating competitions, new foods and vendors, commercial vendors, traveling tours and child-friendly activities.
