The Blackwell–Tapia Prize is a mathematics award presented every other year at the Blackwell-Tapia conference. The conference is sponsored by the National Science Foundation and is organized and hosted by various mathematics institutes. The prize is named for David Blackwell and Richard Tapia.[1] It recognizes someone who has made significant research contributions in their field, and who has worked to address the problem of under-representation of minority groups in mathematics.[2]
