Blas Minor Jr. (born March 20, 1966), is a retired Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 1992 to 1997. He would play for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1992-1994), New York Mets (1995-1996), Seattle Mariners (1996), and Houston Astros (1997).
Minor is now a battalion chief with the Chandler, Arizona Fire, Health and Medical Department,[1] and volunteers as a pitching coach at Hamilton High School.[2]
Minor's nephews, Jake and Daulton Jefferies, are baseball players. Jake played in Minor League Baseball for the Miami Marlins' organization and Daulton is a pitcher for the California Golden Bears.[3][4][5]
