The blue-vented hummingbird (Amazilia hoffmanni) is a bird in the family Trochilidae. Some taxonomic authorities (including the American Ornithological Society consider conspecific with the steely-vented hummingbird (Amazilia saucerottei), while others consider it distinct. It is found from western Nicaragua to central Costa Rica.
