"Bottle of Wine" is a song written by Tom Paxton and performed by The Fireballs. The song reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967.[1] The song appeared on their 1967 album, Bottle of Wine.[2] The Fireballs version only included two out of the four verses written by Paxton with the chorus being repeated.
The song was produced by Norman Petty.[3]
The song was ranked #63 on Billboard magazine's Top Hot 100 songs of 1968.[4]

- Judy Collins recorded the song on her 1964 concert album The Judy Collins Concert.
- Paxton released a version of the song on his 1965 album, Ain't That News![5]
- Joe Brown released a single of the song in 1968.[6]
- Doc Watson and Merle Watson released a version of the song in 1973 and reached #71 on the U.S. country chart.[7] The song was featured on the duo's 1973 album, Then and Now.
- Sweeney's Men recorded a version of this song with the Capitol Showband in 1970.
