Branched Oak State Recreation Area (Branched Oak Lake) is a Nebraska state recreation area located two and a half miles north of Malcolm, Nebraska (northwest of Lincoln) in Lancaster County. The lake is the largest of the Salt Valley Lakes with 1,800 acres (7 km2) of water in a 5,595-acre (23 km2) park.
The area has several camping facilities, ranging from modern to primitive. There is a shop inside the park area where visitors can buy firewood/bait and also purchase boat rentals. The lake is stocked with a catfish, bass, carp and bluegill.
