Is a dual nationality (American/British) MMA ring announcer and is the voice of most major MMA promotions across Europe and the Middle East including Cage Rage UK's Ultimate Challenge, Cage Warriors, Cage Contender,[1] IFPA and others. He is best known for his flamboyant dress and his trademark catch phrase "Its Go Time". He is regularly seen on both live and pre-recorded televised MMA events in more than 70 countries across the globe.[2]

Announcing career

Bret "Hollywood" Freeman started his ring announcing career on small local MMA shows in the United Kingdom. The first organisation to recognise his talents was KAYO MMA,[3] a local show based in Watford, England. From there Bret was contracted to Bushido Challenge and then MMA Clinic. Bret's first big break came in 2010 when he was asked to provide ring announcing services for the one of the UK's largest MMA organisations, Ultimate Challenge. Now Bret's main promotions include UCMMA, Cage Warriors, Cage Contender and IFPA MMA-International Fighting & Promotions Alliance .

Almost immediately after his appearance on Ultimate Challenge, Bret was asked to be the resident Ring Announcer for several large European MMA promotions[4] including Cage Warriors and Cage Contender.

Trademark

Bret began using "Its Go Time"[5] to introduce the main event early in 2010 and in November 2010 was awarded a trademark by the World International Patent Office.

Television Work

Bret has presented several local MMA programmes for LA Muscle and the Active Channel including "KAYO MMA", has been a featured colour commentator on Bravo for BAMMA, and is regularly seen across the globe on a variety of sports channels announcing MMA events.
He has also been a frequent guest on the My Channel MMA Lifestyle show, "Wartime TV" in the UK where they did a feature called "Hollywood Cribs" and did an MTV style tour of his home in Buckinhamshire, England.
Bret and his wife Julia have also been featured on Sky Sports on the popular MMA talk show Cage Fighter.
As resident Ring Announcer for Cage Rage UK, Ultimate Challenge, Bret was part of MMA history as the first ever UK based Pay-Per-View event, Cage Rage UK Presents Ultimate Challenge, Warriors Creed Alex Reid vs Jason Barrett was shown live on Premier Sports, 7 August 2011.

Personal life

Bret was born in Los Angeles California in 1966, moved to the UK in 2007. He was married in 2008, Became a British Citizen in 2011 giving him dual nationality. He now lives in South Bucks with his wife Julia and their 2 dogs, Miles and Inches.
