Life and career

Brooke Totman

Brooke Totman was born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon. During her senior year in high school she received a scholarship from the America's Junior Miss Program after she won the title of Oregon's Junior Miss. After high school she attended the University of Oregon where she received a degree in Theater Arts. Later on, Totman began performing comedy with The Groundlings in Los Angeles, as a member of their Sunday company. Totman performed and wrote numerous sketches including "Bad Dream" and "Carrie and Dylan's Wedding", and was singled out as the highlight of the show in Andrew Lentz' review for the LA Weekly.

In its fifth season, Totman joined the cast of MADtv as a featured player. Totman was noted for her celebrity impressions of Ann-Margret and Jennifer Love Hewitt. She also premiered original characters on the show that she had developed during her time at The Groundlings. After her tenure on MADtv, Totman made several guest appearances on television, appearing in The King of Queens, Less Than Perfect and Judging Amy. She also starred in R3, directed by Betty Thomas, a feature that was unfortunately never released.
