Schools

Buffalo High (Grades 9-12)

Buffalo High School is located 1724 N. Buffalo Ave. The current principal is Rob Dean. Buffalo ISD in 2010 has just finished building their new high school. Its halls are spacious and it resembles a college campus. There are four wings, each representing a different college: Texas A&M, Texas Tech, University of Texas, and Baylor University. The most noticeable add-on to the school is the gymnasium. The gymnasium is adjacent to the cafeteria which has a glass wall allowing one to look over the gym while eating and conversing. Each hallway houses different subjects: the Texas Tech hallway has electives, Baylor University is the science hallway, University of Texas is Math and History, and the Texas A&M is Spanish and English. In 2010, the High School received an Academically Acceptable rating by the TEA.

Buffalo Junior High (Grades 4-8)

Buffalo Junior High is located at 145 Bison Trail, the location of the former high school. The current principal is Lacy Freeman. The Junior High consists of two different sections, one building has 4th and 5th grade as the intermediate, and the other building has 6th through 8th grade as the middle school. In 2010, the Junior High received a Recognized rating by the TEA.

Buffalo Elementary (Grades PK-3)

Buffalo Elementary is located at 1700 E Commerce Street. The current principal is Johnny Veretto. The Elementary consists of grades PK-3. Every year the Elementary students participate in Field Day. The Elementary has received a Recognized rating by the TEA the last four years in a row, from 2007-2010.

School Song

Our boys in gold, Will you please behold
As they proudly stand, For our school so grand
And we are here, You will hear us cheer
You will hear us shout, For our dear Alma Mater
We love you now, Will you show us how
We can win again, Like the best of men
So smile don't sigh, We're from Buffalo High
We'll show it, You'll know it, let's go
B-I-S-O-N-S BISONS NUMBER 1
