The Burroughs Wellcome Fund (BWF) is a private, independent biomedical research foundation based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. BWF was the corporate foundation of the Burroughs Wellcome Co. until 1994.

It is one of the significant funders of biomedical research. Additionally, it makes grants for science education in all subjects. According to its annual report,[1] it had total assets of $693 million in 2008, and made $42 million in awards.
