Bytham Castle mound

Bytham Castle was a castle in the village of Castle Bytham in Lincolnshire (grid reference SK992186.)

The castle is thought to be of early Norman origin, but little is known of its history.[1] The earthworks, situated on a hill above the village, are very visible but nothing of the stonework is above ground.

The site is in private ownership and not open to the public.[citation needed]
