CSTVT, formerly known as Castevet, are an American emo band from Chicago, Illinois.

History

CSTVT formed in 2007 under the name Castevet, and began playing shows in 2008. In 2009, they signed to Count Your Lucky Stars Records and, in the same year, released their debut full-length album, titled Summer Fences.[1]

On August 10, 2010, Castevet released a split with Into It. Over It. via Topshelf Records.[2][3][4] On August 17, 2010, Castevet released their second full-length album titled The Echo & The Light via Tiny Engines.[5][6]

On December 25, 2010, Castevet announced they are changing their band name to CSTVT. They also announced plans to release a 7" with Run For Cover Records, which was released in January 2011.[7][8]

CSTVT's influences include Hot Water Music, Saves the Day, Braid, Texas Is the Reason, Jawbreaker, American Football, and The Promise Ring.
