Carlos Molina Rodríguez is a Puerto Rican politician and the current mayor of Arecibo. Molina is affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP) and has served as mayor since 2013.[1] Before that, He studied primary and higher in the public schools of the town of Arecibo. While he worked as official in custody of the Puerto Rico Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, he started and completed his degree of Bachelor in Criminal Justice at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, where he was President of the Student Council prime of the institution. Molina served as Secretary of the Puerto Rico Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from 2009 to 2011, under Governor Luis Fortuño.

Carlos Molina is the current president of Puerto Rico Mayors Federation after succeeding Hector O'Neill.[2]
