Carrie Manolakos (pronounced "men-uh-LAH-kiss"[1] ) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She launched her debut album, Echo, in April 2012, with a concert at Le Poisson Rouge in Greenwich Village. She ended the show with a cover of "Creep", by Radiohead - it went viral days later, when it got picked up by Gawker, under the title "Eargasm."[2] On December 31, 2012, she briefly appeared onstage with musical phenoms Phish performing Tweezer Reprise.[3]

Manolakos is a former Broadway star. She earned critical praise for her earnest rendition of Sophia Sheridan in Mamma Mia! (2008) and Elphaba, the Green Witch, in the second national tour of Wicked. On her first show for Elphaba, she went on during act two. In 2013 Manolakos appeared in Hit List, a concert based on a fictional musical created for the television series Smash.[4]
