Chełmica [xɛu̯ˈmit͡sa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Tuplice, within Żary County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south of Tuplice, 21 km (13 mi) west of Żary, and 57 km (35 mi) south-west of Zielona Góra.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
