The chestnut-bellied cuckoo (Hyetornis pluvialis) is a species of cuckoo in the Cuculidae family. The monotypic genus Hyetornis[citation needed] was dissolved by the American Ornithologists' Union,[2] but this is not universally accepted. It is endemic to Jamaica. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.
