Collingwood was born in Britain but grew up in Sellersville, Pennsylvania.[1]

Personal Life

Collingwood's major influences are The Beatles, The Zombies, The Hollies, Aztec Camera, Squeeze, and Blue Öyster Cult.[2] He graduated from The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He lives with his wife in Northampton, Massachusetts. The couple married in 1996.

Collingwood has admitted to having trouble with alcohol, even stating that his heavy drinking resulted in him having only contributed three songs to the band's fourth studio album, Traffic and Weather.[3]
