Chris Stringer (born 2 June 1983 in Grimsby), is an English former professional footballer, who played in goal for Sheffield Wednesday. He joined the Owls as a trainee in June 2000, however his promising career was cut short after just four years due to injury and he retired from professional football at the age of 20 in May 2004. He had two operations on his calf muscles and as a result from this he suffers from blood clots.
