Chrissy Metz (born September 29, 1980)[1] is an American actress. She is best known for her role in This Is Us as Kate Pearson, My Name Is Earl as Chunk, and American Horror Story: Freak Show as Barbara/Ima Wiggles.[2][3]

Her performance in This Is Us earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film at 74th Golden Globe Awards. Metz is also a singer in her band Chrissy and The Vapors.

Early life

Metz was born September 29, 1980, and raised in Homestead, Florida.[1] She spent part of her childhood in Japan, while her father was in the U.S. Navy, and later moved to Gainesville, Florida.[1]
