The company's first publication was a climbing guide to the English Lake District, and over the past 50 years they have built up a broad range of guidebooks covering the best walking, trekking and cycling in the World. [1] The company was founded in 1967 and is based in Milnthorpe, Cumbria, a few miles south of the Lake District.
