Comet SWAN may also refer to periodic comet 273P/Pons-Gambart which was recovered in SWAN data in November 2012. It was temporarily thought to be a new discovery until orbital calculations revealed it to be linked to the lost comet D/1827 M1 (Pons-Gambart).
